The WWE appears to have become a favorite off-season avenue for NFL players to make cameos in. The most recent athlete to grace WWE WrestleMania 39 is George Kittle, the tight end for the San Francisco 49ers. He appears to love wrestling, and that is not surprising, considering he is 6-foot-4 and built like a tank.
The tight end seemed genuinely excited to be a part of the festivities at WrestleMania 39. To add to his experience, George Kittle was not just an audience to the event but got himself involved in the midst of the event as well. The San Francisco 49er played a vital role in helping a former member of the NFL fraternity in winning his matchup against a professional wrestler.
Pat McAfee, the former punter for the Indianapolis Colts who has now established himself as a prominent media personality via the Pat McAfee Show headlined the event as he faced off against The Miz. McAfee could have used some help and the fact that George Kittle was there definitely worked in his favor.

The Miz took a shot at George Kittle at WrestleMania 39
Whilst Kittle was sitting and just enjoying ringside, The Miz happened to go around the ring, and when he came face-to-face against Kittle, the two got into a heated exchange as the wrestler began to taunt Kittle. The Miz did not stop at just throwing words as he stepped forward and pushed a standing George Kittle back into his seat. At this point, the TE was compelled to step in and defend himself.
George was sporting a jacket which he quickly unzipped and revealed his Tight End University tank top. He got over the barricades and by this point; The Miz had walked forward. Kittle took a position as he prepared to clothesline him. Just as the pro wrestler turned back, the tight end ran into him and took him down.
That was quite a takedown. Imagine George Kittle running at you at full speed. That day, The Miz experienced how it felt to be involved in a car crash. Turns out, despite having clotheslined The Miz, Kittle still does not like the man and what he stands for. “He was asking for it…He’s just a Hollywood guy, likes to wear sunglasses inside in the dark. I mean, that’s just what The Miz does. And he just needs to be put in his place sometimes, you know? I mean, he’s great on the mic, but hey, those ‘little tiny balls’ need some help.”He stated on the Pat McAfee Show.
The tight end is still in awe that he got an opportunity to be a part of the WWE and had this to say in that regard, “Sometimes, I just pinch myself and ask if I’m dreaming. And I still think I’m dreaming, I mean, I’m at WrestleMania with Pat McAfee, beating The Miz? What else could I want to do tonight? You know?”
Does this mean fans will get to see George Kittle in a lot more WWE events? Could be, considering he is already accustomed to being in car crashes every weekend as taking those hits in the NFL is not easy. The tight end seems to be open to this idea. “Mr. H (Triple H) has my phone number, and that’s not a phone call I’ll ever ignore. So, I’m always open to participate in a fun, violent event,” he stated on The Rich Eisen Show.”
