“I’m liking what I’m seeing,” Giants DL Leonard Williams heaps praise on NFL 2022 draft pick Kayvon Thibodeaux

The New York Giants made a couple of significant draft picks during the NFL 2022 draft, last month. The most important among them was their drafting of Oregon Ducks’ Kayvon Thibodeaux as their 5th pick overall.

The 21-year old, rookie outside linebacker has already made giant steps in impressing his current teammates, as the teams have had their initial practice sessions. He has in particular impressed Giants’ defensive linesman, Leonard Williams.

Speaking after one of their practice sessions, Leonard Williams gave his assessment of Thibodeaux’s skills on the football pitch. The veteran football star gave rave reviews of the rookie and has been very impressed with his performance in these early interactions with him.

“I’m liking what I’m seeing so far,” Williams said of Thibodeaux, according to Pro Football Talk. “It’s small things where we have a few guys on defense giving the ones — or giving whoever a show look, and if they need an offensive lineman or something like that, he’s one of the first ones to run in there and give a look.”

“I appreciate things like that from top picks because he knows that there’s still more that he has to give to the team. Just because he got drafted high doesn’t mean that he can’t help out.”

“Meeting him in person, he’s a humble guy and he’s ready to work, and as I said, he’s one of the first people to go in there when we need a look and things like that. I’m definitely impressed with those things.”
