WATCH: Giants legend Eli Manning teams up with actor Michael B. Jordan to recreate Odell Beckham Jr.’s ICONIC catch
Actor/director Michael B. Jordan stopped by Giants facility to promote his new movie, Creed 3.
Odell Beckham Jr. had one of the most incredible starts to an NFL career ever. The 5-11′ wide receiver had 3 straight 1000 plus yards seasons which got him three consecutive Pro Bowl nods. During his remarkable year, he created an iconic moment that is defined as the best catch in the Giants’ history to this day. And now, 8 years after that one-handed grab, the former Giants QB Eli Manning recreated the catch with actor Michael B. Jordan as his receiver.
Jordan, who grew up watching RB Tiki Barber tearing it up as a New York Giant, joined Manning in the recent episode of The Eli Manning Show to promote his directorial debut movie Creed 3. Furthermore, Jordan joined Manning and the former Giants center Shaun O’Hara for a short interview in the locker room before they went out in the field to create the remarkable one-handed snag.
“This is a dream come true, to be on the field with you two, reliving and remaking these plays,” Jordan said about sharing the field with Eli Manning and Shaun O’Hara. “I’m gonna take this with me the rest of my life.”
Firstly, the three players watched the clip of OBJ’s catch on the big screen with Manning pointing out the details to complete the catch. And then, Eli Manning threw a dime to Michael B. Jordan who completed the high jump catch before falling backward onto the red trampoline in the red zone. However, the actor used both hands for the catch instead of going it for on one hand. But still, he lived his childhood dream while promoting his new movie, so he definitely had a good day.

When did the Giants WR OBJ make that iconic one-handed snag?
During his 2014 rookie season, Odell Beckham Jr. went absolutely crazy as he registered 1305 yards and 12 touchdowns, eventually winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year honor.
Furthermore, he gained national recognition in his first year with his ridiculous one-handed grab during a week 12 Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, the Giants ended up losing the game 31-28 but that grab remains the best catch in Giants history to this day.
In the end, Odell Beckham Jr.’s career went downwards after that impressive 3-year stretch. However, he did manage to win a Super Bowl with the LA Rams in 2022 after he was traded to them in mid-season by the Cleveland Browns. Now, the 3-time Pro Bowler is healing from torn ACL and hoping to play in the 2023 season.
