“GOAT takes 1st place,” Tom Brady becomes highest paid NFL player in a major first-time career achievement

Tom Brady is one of the greatest NFL players of all tie if not the greatest. The QB has countless records to his name and has been ruling the NFL for more than 20 years. Brady was never the league’s highest-paid player until now, the Bucs QB has managed to lead the list by becoming the highest-paid player in 2022, a list exclusively made by Forbes.
Brady got in around $75 million this year which trumped his $73 million last year that landed him in the second spot behind Dak Prescott. Brady earned more when he moved to the Bucs than in his days with the Patriots where the QB won six Super Bowl titles.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner has lucrative endorsements that helped him to achieve this feat. Brady has also either founded or co-founded more than five companies, maybe the QB is focusing on retirement now more than ever.
Matthew Stafford of the Rams came in second on the list with earnings of $65 million followed by the NFL’s reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers who earned $53 million.

The NFL is considered the most valuable league in the world and also the league that gets in the most amount money and endorsements. The only other sport that comes close to the domination done by NFL is Soccer.
On average NFL players earn more than any other sport in the world, this also raises the stakes for the players to perform better and increases the competition. There’s also the added benefit of Fantasy League that gets in major revenue for the NFL.
The league has new media rights deals worth an average of 82% more annually and there’s also the added interest from tech giants like Amazon, Google and Apple for streaming and media rights.
NFL still is the biggest league in the world and it’s not going to change anytime, though it’s tough to say if Tom Brady will lead the list next year as there are many new players who’ll sign big contracts next year like Lamar Jackson from the Ravens.
