With the NFL offseason in effect, fans who live and breathe football have turned their attention toward the XFL. The Xtreme Football League, which started in 2020 but was closed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has started back, and fans are loving it.

The XFL is a spring football league which means that it will not try and compete with the NFL but rather commence during its offseason. Dwayne Johnson’s football league has eight teams as of now, but the number might increase if the league continues for more than half a decade with increasing viewership.

Almost a million people joined in for the live broadcast of the XFL games in Week 1. ESPN PR also reported that there were almost 200 million views of XFL videos on their various platforms. Fans and NFL players were impressed by the new football league. Even Chiefs’ DT Khalen Saunders expressed his wish to play in the XFL after his retirement and play as a tailback.

Players are always in a heated mood when the game is nearing its end and their respective teams are down by double-digits, resulting in them bursting out on their teammates. The same happened in the Orlando Guardians versus the San Antonio Brahmas game last night. The Guardians were getting absolutely destroyed by the Brahmas, who were scoring touchdowns on every other play.

When the Guardians were down 27-6, quarterback Deondre Francois lost his cool momentarily. Francois was in the huddle calling the next play when an offensive lineman suggested he call a different play. Francois who already had to catch up a lot wasn’t having it and he went off on the lineman and told him to “Shut the f*ck up!”

Tensions were definitely running high for the Guardians quarterback but in the end, he couldn’t cover up the enormous deficit and lost to the Brahmas 30-12. This wasn’t a good look for Francois, who already gained a lot of heat for his domestic abuse case registered by his then-girlfriend back in 2018. This marked Orlando’s second defeat and the team scored just 12 points in both encounters.
