Hassan Haskins was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 2022 NFL draft. The 22-year-old is an exciting prospect who showed lots of potential during his time with the Michigan Wolverines.
However, the Titans RB is currently shrouded in controversy after allegedly strangulating his girlfriend for an astounding reason. The 23-year-old was arrested by the police and released later in the day by the Davidson County Jail.
It is believed that he strangled his girlfriend for liking another man’s picture on Instagram. This further led to a disagreement between the couple, and she also smashed his PS5 on the wall.
Both Haskins and his girlfriend, Makiah Green, were arrested. However, the Titans’ RB was charged with aggravated assault and strangulation and now has to go through a difficult lawsuit. Both Haskins and Green were released after paying the bail bond. The NFL RB was asked to pay $10,000, while his girlfriend paid $7,500. She was also charged with aggravated assault while using a weapon and strangulation after they got into an ugly fight.
According to various reports on social media, Hassan Haskins started fighting with his girlfriend on the night of June 22, 2023. Following that, he strangled his girlfriend for around 10–15 seconds.
Makiah Green has also procured pictures of her getting bruised on the neck and scratched on the cheek after being strangled twice. It is also alleged that Green used violence against Haskins during their fight.

The Titans gave a statement regarding Hassan Haskins’ arrest

Hassan Haskins was drafted in the 4th round and taken at pick no. 131 in the 2022 NFL draft. The Titans’ RB will probably play his second season in the NFL.
The Titans were impressed by his college football performance and decided to take him in. However, his off-the-field controversies have seriously scrutinized his career with the team.
As expected, the Titans took notice of the unfortunate situation and gave a statement as soon as Haskins was arrested. “We are aware of the situation and gathering additional information,” the Titans said in a statement on Friday night.
However, the Tennessee-based team didn’t give an extensive statement and will wait for it until the legal procedure is completed. Till then, Hassan Haskins won’t face any possible suspensions or punishments.
