One of the most surprising moves during the offseason was the trade of wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins from the Kansas City Chiefs. Fans couldn’t comprehend why Tyreek Hill would choose to leave such a good Chiefs team.
Another thing people were surprised about was the fact that Tyreek Hill chose to not play with one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the NFL currently – Patrick Mahomes. However recently he has opened up on one of the reasons to join the Dolphins.
Tyreek Hill rates Tua Tagovailoa’s accuracy better than Patrick Mahomes
Speaking on his new podcast It Needed to Be Said, Tyreek Hill opened up on the first time he got the opportunity to play alongside Tua Tagovailoa. Hill praised Tagovailoa heavily and said he’s not just doing so because they play for the same team now.
Tyreek Hill commented on Tua Tagovailoa’s extremely powerful arm and how he was very accurate with his throws. Hill also said that Tagovailoa went through his reads as well and referred to him as ‘this man’s the dude’.
“I’ve had a chance to see Tua [Tagovailoa] throw the ball, to myself, but he’s that dude, bro,” Hill said.“Like, what a lot of people don’t know, like, I’m not just saying this because he’s my quarterback now… like, I’m not trying to get more targets right now, but what I’m trying to say is Tua is that deal, bro… he has a heck of an arm, bro.
He’s accurate. He can throw the deep ball, and he actually goes through his reads, where people are like on Twitter like saying, ‘Oh, he doesn’t go through his reads.’ Man, this dude is that dude.”
However, Marcus Spears has not taken these comments lightly saying that Tyreek Hill has said such things in a hurry. Spears on the GetUp show said that Hill has practised with Tua Tagovailoa for just six hours and the real-time thing will be much different.
“Tyreek Hill had a practice with Tua Tagovailoa for just six hours and accuracy doesn’t matter in practice. Accuracy matters when the defensive line is breathing down your neck. Patrick Mahomes hasn’t lost any of his personal and individual ability with Tyreek Hill leaving,” said Spears.
