Quarterback is the most important position in football. Moreover, it is also one of the most challenging positions to play on the football turf. There are very few players in the league currently that can play the position at the highest level. And one of them is the former San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo. The 31-year-old QB is set to be a free agent once the new league year starts on March 15, but Ian Rapoport assures that Jimmy G won’t struggle to find a new home.
Every off-season, the quarterback market always creates chaos. Last time the Broncos stunned everyone by acquiring Russell Wilson. This season won’t be any different. There’s already one significant QB change in the league as the New Orleans Saints signed the former Raiders QB Derek Carr to potentially lead their franchise for the next four years. Additionally, the league might see Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson going to new teams.
Besides, the league will definitely see the former 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo in new colors. The 2-time Super Bowl Champion who had a decent run last season before he went down with an injury is expected to find a new team in the off-season. Some people doubted whether the veteran will be able to find a new job as a starting quarterback, but the renowned NFL reporter Ian Rapoport is confident that Garoppolo will have several offers.

Ian Rapoport claims the Raiders will be a good fit for Jimmy Garoppolo
The well-renowned NFL pundit Ian Rapoport made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday to talk about the quarterback market in this year’s NFL offseason. During the episode, he talked about the former 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo‘s situation in the market.
“The Raiders and Garoppolo makes some sense,” Rapoport said. “If the Jets don’t get Rodgers, that’d make some sense too. Panthers also make (sense). Garoppolo’s in a really good spot. I think he’s gonna have several offers. The money will be enough to where it’s certainly more than respectable. But he’s a good, solid starter.”
Furthermore, Rapoport also claimed that Jimmy G would make the New York Jets a playoff contender. “For the Jets, let’s say he’s the 16th best quarterback – 16th to 20th in the NFL,” Rapoport said. “To me, that makes the Jets a playoff contender based on what they have around them.”
Well, many people thought that the league has seen the last of Jimmy Garoppolo when he went down with an ankle injury in the week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins. But it seems there’s still a chance for Jimmy G in the league to lead a team to the playoffs.
