The situation in Buffalo has gotten out of hand with respect to star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. There were reports suggesting that Stefon Diggs was unhappy with his role and wanted to be involved with the playcalling.

However, NFL insider Ian Rapoport has squashed all these rumors. He said that everything being said about Diggs is false and revealed what actually happened between the two parties.

Rapoport said, “I need to be completely honest, a lot of that speculation about the role of Ken Dorsey, the offensive coordinator, about DeAndre Hopkins and whether or not Diggs adjusts his contract for that, a lot of that is wrong. Actually I’d say most of it is wrong.

“First of all, Allen said himself that there are things that he can do better. Of course, to get Diggs, one of the best receivers in the NFL, the ball certainly would not hurt. He [Allen] talked about the way communication should be better and he said simply, this thing does not work without Diggs.”

This is great news for the Bills Mafia, who were fretting over losing one of the best receivers in the league.

In the shameful loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at home in the playoffs last year, star wideout Stefon Diggs was seen screaming his lungs out at quarterback Josh Allen. Diggs even expressed his anger with the team for losing crucial matches in the locker room, which became the talk of the league back then.

This sparked rumors that the 3x Pro Bowl receiver was leaving the Buffalo Bills. Then to add fuel to the fire, Stefon Diggs was absent during the team’s first day of mandatory minicamp on June 13. Head coach Sean McDermott said he was very concerned with Diggs missing the minicamp. Thankfully, the 29-year-old showed up for practice the next day.

Things did seem to get ugly, but with Ian Rapoport clearing the air, let’s hope the Bills have a great season in 2023. Buffalo has come close to making it to the Super Bowl three times but couldn’t cross the threshold and make it to the final game, which irked Diggs to a whole new level. It’ll be interesting to see if history repeats itself or do the Bills make it to the World Championship game!
