When things aren’t going right, everyone seems to hate you and criticize every decision of yours. The same thing is happening with the dolphins QB who is in the crosshairs over his form. Tua is in the third season of his 5-year deal and he still has to prove his worth. The 24-year-old was the third best pick to this date behind number one Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert.

Tua’s critics weren’t holding back to which he replied “I don’t know any of those guys,””If that’s what they have to say, then good for them. … They draw people for clickbait or I don’t know, whatever that is.

“If I can’t hear you, you’re not that important to me. Tua added “If you’re in my circle and I can hear you, what you’re saying, obviously you’ve got to be extremely important to me. So, if I can’t hear it, then it’s probably not important.”

The Dolphins QB is in the 3rd year of his contract. This is usually a make-or-break year for the youngster who wants to make a mark. He will need to perform this season and prove his worth for that 5-year extension.

Coach McDaniel who is an offence guru, arrived from San Francisco to make the most out of Tagovailoa and had some interesting things to say “Tua is super hard on himself, which is a good thing, but too much of anything in excess isn’t. He has high standards. I don’t want it to impede the next play.”

The coach feels that there are mental barriers that are stopping him from reaching his true potential, he’s being too hard on himself which is making him succumb to the pressure and under-perform each game. McDaniel thinks Tua should focus more on his “short-term memory” and “deliberate intent on each play”.

If Tua fails to perform this season then the dolphins will have to look for a new QB in the 2023 NFL draft. But all things considered it is too early to write off Tua Tagovailoa.
