Aaron Rodgers is one of the quarterbacks who is looking for a new team to play in the 2023 season. After signing a record-setting three-year $150 million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers in March 2022, Rodgers is set to walk away from the only team he’s ever known in his 18-year-long NFL career. However, nothing is set in stone just yet and if he agrees to play one more year with the Packers, he is guaranteed $59.465 million. Hard to walk away from that!
Still, there are a lot of talks about Rodgers joining the New York Jets after legendary quarterback Joe Namath said that he would unretire his No.12 jersey if he plays for the Jets. Furthermore, almost all Raiders fans tried to recruit him since his old mate Davante Adams is with the Las Vegas Raiders, who are in need of a new quarterback after parting ways with Derek Carr.
After the end of the regular season, the Packers did say that they would trade Rodgers exclusively to the AFC. Jordan Love has been on the bench since he was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft, and maybe Green Bay has finally decided to utilize him and let go of their Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

Ian Rapoport didn’t take offense at what Aaron Rodgers said about him

Rodgers is a regular guest on the Pat McAfee Show and talks about various topics ranging from his future in the league to hot topics from all over the world. On Tuesday’s podcast, the 39-year-old quarterback thrashed NFL Insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter for their comments about his ‘darkness retreat’. Rodgers said that nobody from his inner circle talks to both of them and that they don’t know sh*t about him. He planned the retreat to take a break from everything and when he comes back, he will be ready to answer any question regarding his future in the NFL.
After the 4x league MVP’s strong-worded comments, Ian Rapoport appeared on WFAN’s “Tiki and Tierney” podcast and gave his response to Rodgers’ strong-worded comments. Rapoport said, “I’ve never minded being in the crosshairs of anyone, especially when it’s just because of me doing my job. So, I put the info out there, Rodgers can react however he wants to react. I don’t take offense. If I see him, I would not be angry. To me, this is all part of it. Like, I say something and then people are allowed to react. Rodgers has never been shy about speaking his mind, so to me it’s all fine.”
Looks like there won’t be any hugs and kisses exchanged between the two anytime soon and all the analysts will for sure think twice before they report any news regarding the veteran quarterback. Aaron Rodgers was extremely angry about the false reporting being done by veteran reporters and analysts. All things aside, everyone is excited about Rodgers going into his darkness retreat because when he comes back as a phoenix rises from the ashes, the league will finally have the answer to where he is going to play in the 2023 season.
Let’s see which team Aaron Rodgers chooses to play for because he is definitely going to make them a Super Bowl and who knows, maybe win the Lombardi Trophy just like Tom Brady did in his first year with the Buccaneers.
