It seems like the relationship between the Buffalo Bills and wide receiver Stefon Diggs has been deteriorating fast in the last few months, despite what the organization claims about the situation. The Bills claim that Diggs’ situation is under control and the wideout would play as a Bill in 2023, but NFL reporter Benjamin Albright claims otherwise.

“I talked to some people in Buffalo on the condition of anonymity, and they said that, ‘Publicly, we’re not moving him. Privately, we would consider it under the right circumstances,’” Albright said in a recent episode of the show Broncos Country Tonight.

The 29-year-old WR Stefon Diggs signed a 4-year deal worth a whopping $96 million just last off-season. Furthermore, he also recently restructured his contract to create more cap space for his team.

However, Diggs’ other actions off the field have created rumors about him wanting to leave Buffalo. It all started when Diggs threw a fit on the sidelines and yelled at his QB Josh Allen, during the Bills’ divisional round game against the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2022 postseason.

The Pro Bowl receiver has posted multiple cryptic messages on his social media accounts, seemingly taking shots at Josh Allen and the Bills. Moreover, Diggs also missed the Bills’ mandatory minicamp last week, which fueled the speculation. The Bills’ head coach, Sean McDermott, said it is “very concerning” that Diggs missed the mandatory camp.

Nonetheless, after the head coach publicly called out Diggs, the wide receiver attended the camp the next day. And now, it seems like the Bills are looking to trade Diggs and seeking the right compensation. It should be noted that there are no solid reports about the Bills shopping their number one pass catcher.

The Buffalo Bills’ Super Bowl window is still open under franchise QB Josh Allen. But their dream would stay as just a dream if they lost their premium pass catcher Stefon Diggs.

Interestingly, what started as a dreamy bromance between Allen and Diggs is now going south real quick. According to reports, Diggs and Allen have personal problems that they need to work on before getting onto the football field.

Their feud has caused Diggs’ trade rumors, but the Bills can’t afford to lose him now. Diggs has played a huge part in Allen’s development as an MVP-caliber QB.

Ever since he joined the Bills back in 2020, Diggs has had three consecutive 1000+ yard seasons and has received three Pro Bowl nods. During the 2022 season, Diggs accounted for 1429 receiving yards and 11 receiving touchdowns. The Bills simply can’t expect someone new to replace that kind of production.
