The New England Patriots have finished their season 4-13 after the 3-17 loss to the New York Jets. This marks an end to one of the worst seasons of the team.

In a game plagued by a blizzard wherein visibility was an issue, for safety Jabrill Peppers, it became an opportunity to take rough shots at the opposing offense.

In the third quarter of the game, wideout Garrett Wilson almost caught the ball on a play but it slipped right through his fingers owing to the weather and the defensive back who was on him throughout. Despite Wilson dropping the pass, Peppers came flying in out of nowhere and jumped on him thereby bumping into his head.

After this hit, Garrett Wilson was forced to leave the game. Peppers hit Garrett Wilson straight in the head with his chest which ought to have been painful and downright dangerous. As a result, he was given a 15-yard penalty for the same.

Jabrill Peppers could have seriously injured Garrett Wilson on the play

Peppers did inform the referees and the Jets that he accidentally hit Wilson because of the weather conditions. He was running at full speed and was unable to stop abruptly thereby running into Wilson. He apologized to the wideout which was good for him.

Fans on X(formerly known as Twitter) went at Jabrill Peppers for his hit, take a look.

While the weather did have a part to play in it, Peppers hit Wilson at an alarming speed. Garrett Wilson exited the game with 34 yards. He took his helmet off after taking that hit and lay on the field. It was a sigh of relief to see that the wideout was able to get up and walk back on his own to the locker room.
