Jack Jones was arrested on Friday for carrying loaded guns at Logan Airport in Boston. He is now facing multiple charges and Bill Belichick might have to make a tough decision about Jones soon. Amidst this, Jack Jones’ old tweets criticizing the NBA star Ja Morant for flashing his gun on Instagram resurface on social media.

“@Ja Morant dumb..you letting social media and yo pride ruin yo real money,” Jones wrote in the tweet. “Put them guns down and run that money up. Make one of yo homies sign up for security or concealed carry if you feel like you need it that bad.. but you the bread winner you gotta start acting like it.”

Ja Morant has run into trouble with the NBA for flashing his firearm on his social media twice. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard is now facing a 25-game suspension to start the 2023-24 season over his actions. He was slammed by many people on the Internet including the Patriots CB Jack Jones. And now, the irony was on full display as Jones now faces issues over similar actions.

After his alleged feud with the Pats’ head coach Bill Belichick resulted in him getting suspended for a game in the 2022 season, the talented CB was getting back on his foot in New England with some good improvement. However, Jones’ future in New England is now uncertain after he got arrested for carrying loaded weapons.

Jack Jones’ arrest puts the Patriots in a tough spot

After trading their star cornerback J.C. Jackson in the 2022 off-season, the Patriots kind of found a replacement for him in last year’s draft as they selected CB Jack Jones in the fourth round.

Jones is an immensely talented player and fell to the fourth round due to the off-field issues. He was even arrested back in 2018 for robbing a Panda Express. However, Jones vowed to focus only on his job and be the best teammate, but he failed the Patriots big time even before he could establish himself as a great cornerback in the league.

During last season, Jones was suspended for a game due to allegedly arguing with HC Bill Belichick. Now, just when he was getting back on track, Jones was arrested for possessing loaded firearms.

Jones was expected to play a big role in the Patriots’ secondary along with their 2023 first-round draft pick Christian Gonzalez, but the second-year cornerback’s untimely arrest has now put the Pats and Belichick in a tough situation.
