Last week on Friday, NFL superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers was a guest speaker at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver. Accompanying Rodgers was the famous rapper and actor Jaden Smith and Rick Perry, a former governor of the state of Texas.

Apart from the New York Jets signal-caller, Jaden Smith also advocated the benefits of psychedelics and spoke in great detail about its benefits. The 24-year-old actor said that psychedelics helped him become empathetic towards his friends and family, which improved his relationships.

Jaden Smith also added that it was his mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, who first used psychedelic drugs and slowly the entire family started doing it, which was a great decision. Smith continued, “Siblings can argue so much and fight so much, and lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past. But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the (psychedelic) experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that’s profound and beautiful.”

Looks like not everyone in the Smith household is partaking in psychedelic drugs because if they had, then the Academy Awards would’ve been a bit different last year.

Rodgers has been quite vocal about his use of psychedelics during the regular season. Earlier this year, the 39-year-old quarterback revealed on The Pat McAfee Show that ayahuasca has been one of the main reasons for his back-to-back MVP seasons. “It’s gonna be hard to cancel me,” Rodgers said. “Because previous year, 26 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, we had a good season. Ayahuasca, 46 touchdowns, five interceptions, MVP.”

At the conference in Denver, Rodgers also gave his two cents about the benefits of the drugs and pushed for their legalization. He said that the things that “expand your mind” shouldn’t be illegal and the only way to change that is through “awareness and education.”

Similar to Jaden Smith, even the former Green Bay Packers quarterback used psychedelics to help in his spiritual journey. After winning Super Bowl XLV, Aaron Rodgers thought ‘What’s next to life after this?’ and by the looks of it, it isn’t winning another Super Bowl because he hasn’t done that since 2011.
