The Philadelphia Eagles had a frustrating end to their NFL 2023-24 season. After a sluggish regular season, the Eagles had a poor wildcard round and had a blowout loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Though Jallen Hurts did not have a bad outing per se, he failed to win it for his team.

Following the performance, Hurts was subjected to severe criticism from the fans. Social media was flooded with tweets against Jalen Hurts. The quarterback started attracting criticism from the later half of the season as he was subjected to inconsistency problems. Several interceptions in big games made his journey difficult.

The quarterback had a clean game against the Bucs in the playoff match. His standalone touchdown added the seven points to the Eagles tally. The offense failed to impress as they created no threat to the Bucs defense.

Following the loss, the Eagles could have multiple changes. This could be the last game for Nick Sirianni as the Eagles head coach. In addition, the defensive inabilities are not sorted yet. The defense failed brutally in the game against the Bucs. Baker Mayfield, the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, had a gala time on the gridiron against the Eagles.

In an attempt to solve the defensive errors, the head coach had made some interesting restructuring of the squad. He demoted Sean Desai as the defensive coordinator. The change was expected to bear fruits but it did not. The defense started performing poorly and the Eagles had to depart now from the competition.

Following the embarrassing result of his team, Jalen Hurts was bashed on social media. Hurts started the season very well. He kept on thrashing the opponents. However, with each game passing, his form started declining. The playoff was the last nail in the coffin.

Hurts had three seasons as an Eagles quarterback. He was fantastic in his second season, however, his first and third seasons were not up to the mark. The 25-year-old signal caller had a good rushing performance but his passing game was average with loads of interceptions.
