‘Gutted’ Jalen Hurts takes a dig at teammates claiming the team isn’t ‘committed’ enough following third straight loss
Jalen Hurts called out his teammates for their lack of commitment to win this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles are on fraud watch right now. The team has lost three straight games to its rivals such as the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and most recently, to the Seattle Seahawks. In a game that had a sick Jalen Hurts take the field to throw 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions, the Eagles lost by 3 points as they failed to stop Drew Lock from converting a last-minute touchdown drive to Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
After the game, Jalen Hurts called his team out and said that everyone on the team wasn’t on the same page. The quarterback took responsibility and cited the lack of execution as the reason for the Eagles’ recent struggles.

I've been talking about execution all year, being on the same page, everyone being on the same page. We didn't execute. I don't think we're all committed enough.Just got to turn it around. You know, it's a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it throughJalen Hurts
Hurts also said that the team needs to embrace the challenge going into the business end of the season. Hurts had a bad night against the Seahawks as he threw for just 143 yards and had a passer rating of 40.1. In the last three weeks, he has had just one passing touchdown, which is not a good look for the team’s offense.
Jalen Hurts sounded tired and frustrated with his team following Monday’s loss to the Seahawks
The quarterback was asked an interesting follow-up question on what he meant by not being committed. He did not know how to respond to that question except by saying that ‘commitment’ is the main issue in the team.

Commitment. I don't have a dictionary on me now...I don't know how else to say that.
Hurts was sending a loud and clear message to the entire Eagles roster including himself. The team will face the New York Giants and the Arizona Cardinals in the coming weeks. While they can easily win these matchups, it does not change the fact that the overall team morale and confidence have taken a devastating blow in these last few games.

When asked what that means, Hurts responded, “Commitment… I don’t had a dictionary on me now.”

The Eagles need to make significant changes to their playbook, the issue with them is the team’s offense has become predictable, and as a result, defenses can come up with multiple ways to control them. Hurts may need to rely more on passing the ball rather than running it. Defensively, Philadelphia has a lot to wonder, the team has struggled in comparison to last year. Turning it around will be challenging but the Eagles and Hurts can definitely do it.
