The Philadelphia Eagles are competing against the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs in the much anticipated Super Bowl game. The game so far has lived up to its expectations as both teams started their day by scoring a touchdown during their first drive itself. Especially, the Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has put up a stupendous performance so far.
However, the third-year quarterback did make one mistake, which helped the Chiefs to erase a 7-point deficit. During the second quarter of the game, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles led the Chiefs by 7 points and were facing a crucial third down around the midfield. The Eagles, like they always, ended up trusting Hurts’ legs to get them a first down as the Eagles tried a designed QB draw which backfired in a massive way.
Jalen Hurts received the Snap from his center, Jason Kelce, and started to take it when he fumbled the rock before he could be even touched by a Chiefs defender. The Chiefs LB Nick Bolton saw the opportunity and made a big play as he not only recovered but also returned the fumble to score a defensive touchdown for the Chiefs. On the back of Hurts’ fumble, the Chiefs tied the game 14-14 at that point.
The Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni has told again and again that taking care of the ball is how the Eagles win but their Pro Bowl QB ended up fumbling the ball in a very crucial situation which turned the momentum toward Andy Reid’s team.
Social media thrashes the Eagles QB Jalen Hurts for fumbling the ball

Fans on social media thrashed the Pro Bowl quarterback Jalen Hurts for his uncharacteristic fumble during an important time of the game. Furthermore, the fans were mad at the fact that it wasn’t even a stripped fumble, Hurts just fumbled the ball while trying to take off in a designed QB draw.
However, Hurts maintained his composure and helped his team score a touchdown on the very next drive. Except for the fumble, the Eagles QB has performed exceptionally well in his debut Super Bowl as he has thrown for 183 yards and 1 touchdown while completing 77.3% of his passes. He also has one rushing touchdown.
Thanks to the brilliant performances from Hurts and AJ Brown, the Eagles are currently holding a 10-point lead against the AFC Champions Kansas City Chiefs at the halftime mark.
