Another day, another stellar performance by none other than Jalen Hurts. On SNF, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Commanders 38-31. It was the Eagles’ seventh win of the season and it came in style. Hurts, the Eagles quarterback, provided another masterclass on the field and he ended the game with four touchdowns. Hurts made a staunch comeback after the Eagles’ surprising defeat against the New York Jets last week.

After the brilliant performance against the Commanders, Hurts also handled the press in a calm and composed way. He was asked whether this was his best performance this season. Jalen was calm and composed while answering this.

Must be, if you are asking me.

The Eagles were highly criticized after the Jets beat them earlier. They were in desperation to make a comeback. The opportunity came in the game against the Miami Dolphins, and the Eagles provided at the right moment.

The game against the Commanders was not so tough, and the Eagles expected a much easier outcome. However, the reality turned out to be different. It was an attacking game and a close encounter where the Eagles gave away 31 points. In the end, they emerged victorious, but that does not eliminate the fact that the Eagles had to put their best efforts on the field, especially the second half.

Last season, the Eagles reached the Super Bowl, however, lost against the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the brilliance of none other than Patrick Mahomes who stole the show with his brilliance. The Eagles performed well, but they had to surrender in front of the brilliance of Mahomes. Now, this season, the team wants to redeem the Super Bowl fortune of last season and they are slowly moving towards that.

Jalen Hurts’ is slowly replicating his last season’s form

Hurts has been phenomenal since the beginning of the season. He has been producing magic. In the game against the Commanders, he covered 319 yards of passing with four touchdowns with zero interceptions and his QBR was 135.4. Overall, in eight games, the AB has registered 2,140 yards of passing with 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Hurts has his competition with himself. He was a beast last season. By covering 3,701 yards with 22 touchdowns and only six interceptions, he raised the bar high for himself.

This year, however, he has more interception numbers. Now, it is to be seen whether Hurts can surpass his last year’s records this year.
