“Doctors cleared him in limited fashion”: Jalen Ramsey not on PUP, but activity restricted

Jalen Ramsey the superstar cornerback for the defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams, was earlier reportedly being placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Then the Rams had a change of heart. Ramsey who underwent shoulder surgery last month is still recovering from the it but will take part in few football related activities and “not just restricted to just go with Athletic Trainer Reggie Scott” Coach Sean McVay said.

Jalen Ramsey limited in activity
“We ended up not putting Ramsey on the PUP as a result of doctors cleared him in a limited fashion that enables him to participate in a lot of the jog throughs — the above the neck stuff, and to be able to have him out here with his teammates with all the different things that we ask of him,” McVay told reporters.
Ramsay is a important part of the Aaron Donald led star defensive unit and is one of the highest paid defensive backs in the game. Ramsey signed his extension in 2020 which at the time made him the highest paid defensive back, a title now held by Green Bay Packers Jaire Alexander.
As the Rams prepare to do it all once again they need their whole squad healthy and in form. They are already without Odell Beckham Jr who was a late addition to the squad from the Cleveland Browns. It will be interesting to see how the Rams perform this year as expectations would be extremely high for obvious reasons.
