Jamaal Charles has been a part of the Chiefs since he was drafted by them. The RB was coached under OC Eric Bieniemy, who was the RB coach at the Chiefs at the time.
Currently, Bieniemy is an offensive coordinator at the Commanders. His new job is met with loads of criticism from various NFL analysts, one of them being LeSean McCoy. McCoy is a former NFL player who has played under Bieniemy.
The former Eagles RB currently works as an analyst for ESPN and does not show much love to his former coach Eric Bieniemy. Instead, the ESPN analyst criticized Bieniemy and stated that he doesn’t have the required skills to make it as an offensive coordinator.
“I wish him WELL but Washington don’t let the chiefs SUCCESS or coaching titles fool y’all… the traits or skills you need to be a good coordinator I haven’t seen or WITNESSED it,” LeSean McCoy stated on SPEAK.
McCoy thinks Bieniemy doesn’t offer any value as an OC and will struggle with the Commanders as their OC. However, Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles thinks otherwise.

Commanders OC Eric Bieniemy has worked his way from the bottom to the top. The former RB coach was influential and great according to many players, including Jamaal Charles.
Charles was taken aback by McCoy’s comments and decided to hit back at him while showering praises at Bieniemy. The Commanders OC had coached Charles when he came in as a youngster and had lots of influence on his playing abilities.
“I have to disagree with you Shady. Bieniemy Coach me 4 years I learned so many thing for EB and I still keep in contact with him a great husband and father. He deserves to be a head coach,” Jamaal Charles wrote on Twitter.
Eric Bieniemy proved himself first by being promoted as the Chiefs OC after spending years as their RB coach. He also coached Charles when he led the NFL in rushing touchdowns in 2013. The Chiefs RB believes that Bieniemy deserves a head coach position. Instead, he got an OC position with the Commanders and has a long way to go to become a head coach.
