Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase were set for a partnership for many years to come when the talented QB was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals from LSU. Exactly a year after that, Chase was drafted by the Bengals from LSU to support Burrow.

Chase and Burrow have been great friends since their college days and share a great relationship with each other. This has also helped them develop an almost telepathic conversation on the field.

They are currently the best QB-WR combo in the NFL after Tyreek Hill decided to move to the Miami Dolphins. Recently, Chase spoke to the media about Burrow and explained his love for the UFC and how the WR always falls privy to his lucrative fighting skills.

“He’s trying flying kicks on me sometimes,” Ja’Marr Chase told reporters. “I remember our first time hanging out, he had UFC on. He didn’t change it, didn’t ask what I wanted to watch. He didn’t care.”

Joe Burrow has time and time again shared his love for UFC and Chase believes that it has helped him stay prepared all the time. The QB also has great pocket awareness, maybe that’s the reason why.

Burrow and Chase are part of an explosive Bengals offense that will look to shine next season as well. In fact, the Bengals have the joint odds to be Super Bowl champions next year.

Joe Burrow chooses teammates over money

The NFL teams usually have a budget cap. Which means they can only offer new contracts to selective players each year. Joe Burrow himself is up for a new contract and completely deserves one. However, his priority is getting his teammates to get paid first.

Specifically, Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase. Higgins is on the cusp of being a free agent and Chase is up for a new contract next year. The Bengals star believes that a good QB is nothing without the support and effort of his team.

“You want that to be a focal point,” Burrow said, regarding keeping Higgins and Chase. “We’re working to make that happen. You gotta have good players. It doesn’t matter how good your quarterback is. If you don’t have good players around him, you’re not going to be a very good team.”

If Joe Burrow and the Bengals want to keep the Super Bowl team alive, then they will have to get the better of their AFC rivals, Kansas City Chiefs. For that to happen, the Bengals will need all the quality players at their best physically and mentally.
