“Enough to make ANYONE cry”: Here’s how Ja’Marr Chase made his mom shed a few tears of joy
For all the glitz and glamour assosiated with the NFL, it’s still a league based on real people and their stories. One such story belongs to Cincinnati Bengals 2nd year Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Chase who along with his LSU teammate and friend led Bengal to their 1st Superbowl apperance in almost three decades.
Chase who was picked by the Bengals in the 1st round of 2021 NFL draft recenlty in a GQ interview revealed how he spent the money he got after singing his 4 year nearly $30.8 million deal with a massive signing bonus of $19.8 million.
A Maserati to replace a broken Audi
Chase revealed that on suggestion from his dad Jimmy Chase he bought his mom a car not just any car but a astounding $65000 black Maserati to replace her old Audi with broken air conditioning.
“My pops came to me about it. She been having an Audi and the Audi was real bad,” Chase told GQ. “The air stopped working in it, so she’s not about to try to ride around in no hot car. Gotta get her a car ASAP. “
According to Chase it was moment filled with happy tears when he showed his mom her new ride
When Chase showed his mom her new whip, it made for emotional viewing, he said “She was crying, like tears of joy,” he said. “That was good to see. She made me start crying. For Jimmy and Toleah Chase who have supported Ja’Marr throughout his life to fulfill this dream it’s a surreal moment as they see their son go out and live his dream everyday.
Chase was not only generous with his mother but also his siblings who each got $15000 and himself as he bought a $300000 Rolls Royce Wraith and some $100000 worth of clothes and jwellery.
But don’t be misguided by Chase’s spending spree as he is being wise with his money and has still saved majority of his 1st million for a rainy day.
