The Cincinnati Bengals finally woke up and carved the Arizona Cardinals open with long bombs and thrilling offense. It was just like the Bengals of 2021. QB Joe Burrow and WR1 Ja’Marr Chase had their LSU thing going again. It made all the Cincinnati fans have smiles on their face for the first time this season. The Bengals started the season 1-3 after being touted as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl in the offseason. Burrow injured his calf in training camp, and the Bengals haven’t looked the same.
Ja’Marr Chase himself had a poor start to the season. He came into Sunday’s game against the Cardinals having not posted a 100-yard receiving game through the first four weeks. After another frustrating loss against the Tennessee Titans in week 4, Chase’s frustrations boiled over in the post-game interview. He said, “I’m open. I’m always f**king open.” It became a truthful statement against the Cardinals.
Against the Cardinals, however, Chase was always open. Burrow found him for 15 receptions, and the WR went off for 192 yards and three scores. After the game, Chase took to Twitter and posted a picture of 7/11, the convenience store. This reminded everyone that he was always open, just like the store. He captioned the post with a simple “7/11.”
The Bengals are still one game behind .500, but a win like this would do the team’s confidence a world of good. Chase and Burrow finally look in sync again and will look to build on this win against the Seattle Seahawks in their next game.
Ja’Marr Chase opens up about the Bengals’ crucial win against the Cardinals
The Cincinnati Bengals needed a victory after losing badly to the Tennessee Titans in week 4. They got that victory against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday as both, QB Joe Burrow and WR Ja’Marr Chase finally came into their own. Chase opened up about the win after the game.

“We’ve taken a step closer to who we really are,” Chase told the reporters. “We keep facing adversity this year. It’s not going to be an easy season and right now we just keep taking it step by step into next week. I just want to say we’re making the right steps forward right now. Just keep pushing and moving forward.”
The Bengals will host the Seattle Seahawks in their next game on Sunday. They will look to continue this momentum and go on a streak, much like last season. With Chase and Burrow back to their best, it will be a delight to watch the Bengals going forward.
