“I just got hungrier,” Jameis Winston warns Saints legend Drew Brees and other NFL teams

The New Orleans Saints are heading to a change in leadership on the pitch, as they have chosen Jameis Winston as their starting quarterback for the upcoming season. The 28-year old has had a injury stricken career so far, and has failed to repay the faith which the Saints put on him.

However, this upcoming season he looks all set and determined to make an impression on the league with his performances. The Saints have long wanted a perfect replacement for their veteran quarterback Drew Brees, who called time on his career in 2020.

“This was the first time in my life where I was not in the building. I was really removed from this.” Jameis Winston told Michael Irvin of the NFL Network. “I just miss playing football, being with my teammates, game planning, and you know, just attacking the field with them.”

Jameis Winston said that being completely away from the game due to his knees injury has helped him a lot to evolve his game and complete his recuperation. He claimed that he is a lot hungrier to prove himself now than he was a few seasons ago.
