The NFL off-season is always full of dramas and surprises. It’s no different this year as the Giants shocked everyone by handing their QB Daniel Jones a 4-year $160 million contract just a few days ago. But on the other hand, the Ravens placed the former league MVP QB Lamar Jackson under a non-exclusive franchise tag since they couldn’t agree to terms on a contract extension.
Moreover, according to reports, some teams are not interested in Lamar Jackson even though they are in a dire need of a quarterback. Now, many experts suggest that it might be because of the dual-threat quarterback’s injury concerns since Jackson has missed 10 regular season games in the last two years. But some experts can’t get their heads around teams showing no interest in the MVP-calibre QB.
Good quarterbacks are very rare in the league, so the teams always had a habit of overpaying for average signal-callers. The Giants just signed Daniel Jones, who had 15 passing touchdowns in 17 regular season games in 2022 to a $160 million contract. The Saints also just signed Derek Carr for a $150 million contract. For context, Carr has never won a playoff game in his 9-year-long career.
In addition, Geno Smith, who has been to one Pro Bowl in 9 seasons, just signed a $105 million contract extension with the Seahawks. So, while they are all getting paid, Lamar Jackson, who is one of only two unanimous MVP award winners not getting interest from NFL teams, doesn’t sit well with many people including the Bears defensive back Jaquan Brisker.
Brisker took to social media to express his frustrations over the teams doubting the Ravens QB Lamar Jackson while trashing the Giants QB Daniel Jones. “MVP lol… other Bruh got paid today and is trash fam,” tweeted Jaquan Brisker with the hashtag ‘facts’.

Fans on social media did not like the Chicago Bears‘ defensive back Jaquan Brisker calling Daniel Jones trash. Especially the Giants fans who went on to savagely troll the rookie DB. They also brought the highlight video of Jones successfully blocking Brisker during their game in the 2022 season.
While Jaquan Brisker might have behaved unprofessionally when he trashed the Giants QB, it is still a shame that the teams are still doubting the Ravens QB Lamar Jackson while giving out expensive contracts to players who have not accomplished a lot in the league.
