When the Philadelphia Eagles center was seen shedding tears on the sidelines as he watched his team’s Super Bowl dream being crushed, everyone thought it was the end of Jason Kelce’s era. For the following few days, that’s all anyone could talk about.

However, the 36-year-old remained unbothered by the retirement buzz, and based on his recent allegiance to Philly, it appears Kelce isn’t focused on his retirement as of now.

In a recent conversation with The Inquirer, the Eagles’ star center opened up about Philly’s abrupt season-ending despite ruling the conference for the majority of the season.

He referred to his team’s season-ending as an “incredibly disappointing season,” especially how things ended for them in the last few games, including the devastating wild-card playoff game.

And I really, really look forward to next year. I look forward to trying to prove people wrong, especially with some of the recent hires and Nick Sirianni. And there’s a lot of things up in the air for the Philadelphia Eagles. But I think that, as a player, you always look forward to go into battle with your guys.
Kelce said

Although Kelce isn’t sure about the next step of his career, he would still prefer to be a part of the organization. He contended that he doesn’t want to be an outsider in Philly,

looking in on these achievements and these accolades.

He expressed he isn’t ready to pass on that feeling anytime soon.

Jason Kelce rooting for his brother and the Chiefs

After the Eagles got eliminated from the playoffs, Jason took over his big brother duties and went down to support his brother, Travis Kelce, and the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional and conference championship rounds.

During his conversation with the Philadelphia Inquirer, he also shared that he’s rooting for the Chiefs to win their second consecutive Super Bowl.

And then as a brother, I mean, listen, this is an easy team to root for. This is a team that has not been ... had their roses, and been the easiest road for them. They fought, they’ve overcome adversity, they’ve stayed together through all the nonsense.
Continuing further, he added

Jason, who is known as America’s favorite big brother, made quite the hoot as he went to the Chiefs’ game. In the divisional round, he even stripped off his shirt and jumped out of the suite to be with the fans to celebrate his brother’s first touchdown of the game.
