Jason Kelce has explained his version of the alleged infamous abusive rant towards his brother Travis Kelce after he lost the Super Bowl LVII. Last Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles lost 35-38 to the Kansas City Chiefs, and it was reported that an upset Jason said ‘F**k you’ to his brother after losing the Super Bowl game. Like many Eagles players, Jason was upset at the outcome due to bad officiating and might’ve abused his brother in a rage.

He spoke about the incident on the Kelce brothers’ weekly podcast, New Heights. Jason said that many organizations reported he abused Travis but clarified that he was misquoted and he never said ‘F**k you’ to Travis or anyone. He didn’t say much to Travis because he wanted to let him celebrate his win because he knew his brother felt bad for him. Jason didn’t want to take Travis’ moment and hence, he didn’t say much immediately after the game.

“I was misquoted by saying that I said, ‘F**k you’. Congratulations after that. That’s not what I said… I didn’t say much because I wanted you to go celebrate with your team. You know, I knew that you were gonna feel bad for me. And I didn’t want that,” Jason said.

Jason was modest in admitting that he didn’t want to take any limelight away from his brother Travis. He revealed that he just hugged Travis and expressed his brotherly love toward him. He congratulated him and wanted him to celebrate the win with his teammates. He added that he didn’t want to be the guy who was going to bring down the moment for his brother.

“I didn’t want that to be how you remember that. So I just kind of made an emphasis to go hug you. Tell you I love you. Congratulations, and go be with your teammates, because I didn’t want to be the guy that was going to bring down that moment for you,” he added.

Travis Kelce of the Chiefs is now a 2-time Super Bowl champion and with Patrick Mahomes in the QB position, has helped the Chiefs become one of the most dominant teams in recent years. He is also regarded as one of the greatest Tight Ends of all time.
