The Philadelphia Eagles, led by their star quarterback Jalen Hurts, are currently one of the best offensive units in the entire league. Their excellence in offense mainly stems from their dual-threat QB Hurts and their strong offensive line. And now, they could lose one of their secret sauce in their O-line as their star center, Jason Kelce, hints at a possible retirement following the 2023 season.
During a recent interview on the NFL Network show The NFL Report with James Palmer and Steve Wyche, Kelce reflected on the new responsibilities he has taken in the last few months, including his podcast “New Heights” that he hosts with his brother Travis Kelce.

I think the way we’ve justified it as a family is this [playing football] is going to be over pretty soon here. If it’s this year, which it very well could be, we want to make sure that we’re ready to go when football’s done.Jason Kelce via The NFL Report.
This is not the first time Kelce has contemplated retirement. Even before the start of the season, he was seemingly thinking about retiring, but in March he confirmed he’s returning to the Eagles with an Instagram post.
Kelce, 35, is a big part of the Eagles’ offense. The Philadelphia-based football team’s offense has been very consistent especially because of their offensive line. Losing Kelce could be a big blow for the Eagles.
On the other side, Jason Kelce has already been working on his retirement plan. He started a podcast with his brother Travis Kelce, named New Heights. His podcast skyrocketed in popularity after co-host Travis started dating the global superstar Taylor Swift a few weeks ago.
Jason Kelce reveals why the Eagles are successful at Tush Push
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have been very consistent in successfully executing the Tush Push play which they use in short-yardage situations. They have been very successful with it especially because of the offensive line.

And now, Philly’s 5-time first-team All-Pro center Jason Kelce has revealed the secret behind their success during his Thursday appearance at The NFL Report show.
We've repped it a lot...As soon as that ball is moving, you're moving forward or changing your leverage and bending down. The quarterback is already moving forward to be able to start pushing.
Kelce claims the Eagles have been successful because of their reps and other teams find it hard to imitate the success, since they might not have been practicing it a lot.
Nonetheless, Kelce, who is nearing retirement, will be focused on winning his second Super Bowl ring with the Eagles in February. But for now, he will look to help Philly win their week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
