After building a Hall of Famer worthy career in the NFL, Jason Kelce bid adieu to the sport with teary eyes. But as he retired, he seemed to have caught quite the attention from various fields within the sports industry.
Until he returns as an integral part on the Philadelphia Eagles’ coaching staff or as an NFL analyst, the newly-retired NFL centre seems to be trying his hands on other sports. More recently, WWE reportedly have approached Kelce for his appearance at their biggest event of the year– WrestleMania.
Given Kelce’s popularity in Philadelphia, WWE is looking forward for the Super Bowl champion to honor WrestleMania 40. It is set to be held at the Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on the upcoming weekend, as reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.
The news of WWE approaching the former Eagles’ star centre came after he was invited to join WWE post NFL retirement by wrestling star The Miz. He even offered to personally train Kelce.

The Miz believes Kelce could be dangerous in the wrestling ring. If the seven-time Pro Bowler appeared at WrestleMania, he could not only get insane reactions from Philly, but also drive a huge mainstream attention. It does seem possible as Kelce brothers have previously expressed their interest in wrestling.
Jason Kelce pitch steals the show in MLB opener
WWE isn’t the only one interested in pursuing the potential future Pro Football Hall of Famer for his athletic appearance. Last Saturday, Kelce was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch for Philadelphia Phillies to kick start the MLB 2024 season.
Of course, the NFL star accepted the invite and threw a respectable ball, if not a strike. Some even claimed, he outperformed his brother and three-time Super Bowl champion, Travis Kelce, who threw the pitch for Cleveland Guardians last year in April.
He was accompanied by his teammate Fletcher Cox, who also retired this offseason. Until, the Super Bowl champion makes a decision for his future in the NFL, he seems to be trying his hand all around the sports industry.
