Dogs are known to be man’s best friend. Their unwavering loyalty towards their owners, their ability to sense the mood of those around them and behave accordingly are qualities that other animals do not possess. Jason Kelce‘s family recently showed one such example of how dogs can affect one.

His wife, Kylie Kelce, shared a heartfelt post on Thursday, announcing the unfortunate news of their dog’s passing. 

When I was in high school I had a folder on my desktop labeled 'God's gift to earth,' It was images of Irish Wolfhounds that I had collected from Google. I had fallen in love with the breed when I was young and never let my fascination with them fade.
Kylie wrote on Instagram

She revealed her dream was to always have an Irish Wolfhound, which ultimately led her to their dog Winnie. She went on to state that Winnie’s death has resulted in her losing a part of herself that she will never get back.

While fans expressed their sympathy towards the death of Winnie, Jason Kelce‘s brother Travis Kelce was also one of the people who commented on the post expressing his sympathy. He let his sister-in-law know that she had given “Winn an amazing life.” Kayla Nicole, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, commented, “Winnie girl. What a sweet life she lived.”

Jason Kelce and his family have always considered Winnie to be their own child

The couple has an exclusive Instagram handle dedicated to sharing updates with regards to their dogs, Winnie and Baloo. They are an Irish Wolfhound family. The reasons for Winnie’s death are not known. It could be due to natural reasons or owing to an ailment she was suffering. But Winnie is at peace now.

The Kelce’s have a lot of fond memories with Winnie. She was the flower girl at their wedding in 2018 and has been spoken about multiple times by the former center for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jason Kelce recently announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons. There have been rumors buzzing that he may want to reconsider his decision to do so after the recent upgrades made by the Eagles by bringing aboard the likes of Saquon Barkley. He is yet to address these rumors publicly.
