Jayden Daniels showed off his skills, throwing some beautiful passes and participating in drills on Wednesday during the LSU Tigers Pro Day at the Lucas Oild Stadium in Indiana. However, instead of his skill becoming a talking point, a picture of his elbow has gone viral.

The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner is in pole position to be the third player drafted in the upcoming draft. Before that, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that the quarterback was scheduled to meet with several franchises.

These teams include the New England Patriots, the Washington Commanders, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Yet a photograph of Daniel’s elbow is making the rounds on the internet. The viral image is from November 4, 2023, when LSU played against the Alabama Crimson Tide. It showed what appeared to be a sac forming on his right elbow. This has caused quite a stir on social media, leading to several speculations and comments from football fans.

A doctor explained a possible reason for Jayden Daniels’ elbow

While there haven’t been any statements from Jayden Daniels‘ camp regarding the viral image, a doctor has come forward with a possible explanation about the college football star’s elbow.

Sports medicine physician Dr. Jesse Morse wrote on X (formerly Twitter) and assured the Daniels fans that they didn’t need to fear for the 23-year-old’s elbow. Morse speculated that the reason behind Daniels’ elbow appearing that way in the image is ‘olecranon bursitis.’

Jayden Daniels appears to be dealing with olecranon bursitis of his right throwing elbow. This is an inflammation of the bursa, which is a sac that's usually empty and protects the bone underneath.
Morse wrote

He added that an individual has a ‘bursa’ on the joints of their knee and elbow. It’s very common, and there’s nothing to sweat about until it gets infected.

It is worth noting that Daniels’ shoulder was not visible during his Pro Day. He was wearing a long-sleeve purple shirt to honor his LSU teammate, Greg Brooks Jr., who had been diagnosed with a brain tumor

Daniels is one of the most sought-after young quarterbacks in the draft. Although he did not manage to take the Tigers into the postseason, individually, he was on fire. He registered a career-high of 3812 passing yards and 40 touchdowns, along with 1134 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
