The Green Bay Packers icon Brett Favre is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever step onto the football field. Favre has gained lots of fans with his achievements on the Gridiron. However, his off-the-field activities make him one of the most hated personalities in the NFL world. Most notably, Favre was once accused of sexual harassment by the New York Jets game day host Jenn Sterger.

Back in 2010, reports broke out that then-Minnesota Vikings QB Brett Favre allegedly sent ‘c**k shots’ and lewd pictures to the sideline reporter Jenn Sterger during their time in New York. According to reports, an employee on behalf of Favre approached the then-24-year-old Sterger for her phone number.

“He started off talking to me about dumb stuff and he really never told me who he was, it was very implied,” Sterger recalled of the texts in 2018 according to the New York Post. But soon dumb turned to dangerous, when Favre allegedly sent lewd photos of himself. Sterger reportedly informed the Jets organization about the texts and changed her number but the texts did not stop.

In the end, Sterger left the Jets organization following the 2008 season. Following the 2010 Deadspin report that revealed the scandal to the world, NFL launched an investigation but failed to find solid evidence linking Favre to the texts. Even Sterger admitted that she never met Favre during the entire time.

“I mean to this day I don’t know that it was Brett Favre, but I go off of what I was told and what I was led to believe and the voice I heard on the voicemails,” she said. Nonetheless, Favre was fined $50,000 as a result of the NFL’s investigation.

Jenn Sterger doesn’t want to be the “Brett Favre“ girl

Back in 2010, the Jenn Sterger-Brett Favre scandal caused massive waves in the NFL world. Sterger was labeled the Brett Favre girl and her name became synonymous with a Jets controversy. 10-years after the scandal, Sterger sat down for an interview with USA Today where she talked about the scandal in detail and how she regrets being known as the Favre girl.

“I’m not the Brett Favre girl,” then-34-year-old Sterger said. “I tell people that every chance I get. Including d*mb drunks at a bar. People meet me say, ‘You’re a lot different than I thought you would be.’ I say, ‘What did you expect?’”

The former Playboy model also revealed that she had never met the Packers icon personally but was cyberbullied by him. Nonetheless, she moved on from the Favre controversy and got married to the MLB player Cody Decker.

On the other hand, Favre was only fined $50k over the Sterger incident but now he is facing some serious allegations about misappropriating the Mississippi Welfare fund. He is facing a civil lawsuit regarding the misuse of welfare funds.
