WATCH: “Who is cutting onions in here!?” – Jeremy Reaves’ tears after receiving his Pro Bowl call news has fans crying on social media
Jeremy Reaves
The NFL has announced its All-Star rosters for the 2023 Pro Bowl and it has many players who’ve received their maiden call. For the NFC, Commanders’ Jeremy Reaves earned his first-ever Pro Bowl selection, and it is probably the most significant selection for the 2023 Pro Bowl. Reaves’ reaction to getting the news of his selection is one of the most emotional and wholesome things currently on the internet.
4 players from the Washington Commanders made it to the roster. The Commanders’ social media team released a short video of HC Ron Rivera breaking this news to the four players- Terry McLaurin, Jonathan Allen, Tress Way, and Jeremy Reaves. After conveying the news to McLaurin, Allen, and Way, Rivera told the news to Reaves, who was numb after hearing it and couldn’t control his tears.
Rivera told him multiple times how he earned this and absolutely deserves the place on the roster. Reaves’ mother tragically died last year, and the coach reminded him of her by telling him how proud she must be feeling right now. “I know your mom would be proud,” Rivera said as Reaves shed tears of happiness. He had struggled a lot in his football career in general. Reaves went undrafted in 2018 and then had to work his way up through the practice squads. He even had to struggle hard to make it to the game day roaster for the first four seasons in the league.
Even Reaves’ teammates, McLaurin, Allen, and Way were also very excited when HC Rivera conveyed that Reaves was also selected for the roster. 2022 Pro Bowler Tress Way even shed tears when he heard about the news and was fired up when it was conveyed to Reaves. “I love you big guy,” Reaves said to Way as they embraced. “Love you too, dude,” Way responded.

With a 7-6-1 record for the season, the Commanders are 4th in the NFC East division. They are just 1 game behind the third-placed Giants and would want to make it count at the business end of the regular season. They will face the 49ers on Christmas eve before facing the Browns and the Cowboys.
