Following the 19-8 Thursday night loss at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, the media entered the Denver Broncos locker room to interview some of the players. They came across wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who made headlines just before kickoff, running past Steve Smith Sr. on the touchline.
The retired NFL wide receiver has a podcast called “Cut To It.” During a segment, he called Jeudy out, branding him as ‘Jag’ which means ‘just another guy.’ Not exactly the glamorous title, but rather the opposite. This indicates nobody. The Broncos picked Jeudy in the 2020 NFL Draft as a first-round pick. But according to Smith, he has failed to deliver.
That’s part of the reason Jeudy pulled off the antics before yesterday’s game. But it came back to bite him. On top of another horrid start to the season, the Broncos were on a 15-game losing streak against the Super Bowl winners dating back to 2015. And judging by the mood, they weren’t ready to let go of that just yet.
Jeudy finished the day with just three receptions. He capped off with a mere 14 yards and did not trouble the score one bit. When the media got hold of him, they asked the now-shaded Jeudy about the prematch altercation with Smith. The 24-year-old completely avoided talking further about the topic. “I don’t remember that,” he said, then switched to how they performed in the game.
Steve Smith had this to say about Jeudy’s behavior on the touchline. “One of the biggest problems we have in the media, especially as a young black man, is sometimes black-on-black crime,” the former Carolina Panthers player said. “I’m not going to engage where the national media can see two young African American men acting like we ain’t got no sense.”

Jerry Jeudy and the Denver Broncos had a night to forget against the Kansas City Chiefs
From start to finish, Sean Payton‘s Broncos were a no-show. But that doesn’t mean the Chiefs dominated every play. The game was far from a walkover. It was more of a cagey affair. Both defenses were on song. It took a 35-yard field goal from Harrison Butker to put the first points on the board in the first quarter. He was on the mark again in the next registration, a 60-yarder.

Chiefs Chris Jones, Justin Reid, and Drue Tranquill recorded one sack each. For the Broncos, Jonathan Cooper and Zach Allen shared sacks, while Justin Simmons caught an interception.
Jeudy’s game suffered because quarterback Russell Wilson was shut out completely. Wilson only managed 95 yards yesterday, his lowest since December 2017. The defeat leaves them with just one win in six games this season. Next, they will welcome the Green Bay Packers at Mile High on October 22.
