On Thursday night, the Denver Broncos suffered a brutal loss against their division rivals Kansas City Chiefs in their week 6 matchup. But even before the game, the Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy took a massive L off the field. Jeudy was harshly criticized and was dubbed an average WR by the Carolina Panthers great Steve Smith in the TNF pregame show. After the critical remarks, Jeudy was seen fired up and dancing on the sidelines.

In a brief video originally posted by the NFL Network reporter James Palmer, a fired-up Jeudy could be seen dancing and yelling at the camera from the sidelines while both teams were practicing ahead of the game. It seemed like Jeudy was calling out the people who doubted him. It is unsure whether Jeudy knew about the harsh remarks Smith said about him at the time, but that was quite a response from the Broncos wide receiver.

The short video went viral on social media and accumulated over 1.6 million views on X within hours. While many people took the side of Steve Smith in the scuffle, it cannot be overlooked that Smith, in fact, crossed a line with his harsh remarks about the 24-year-old receiver.

Nonetheless, it felt like a fired-up Jeudy would pop off in the game against the Chiefs on Thursday, but he did not have much impact. Jeudy caught only 3 passes in the game for 14 receiving yards while averaging just 3.4 yards per reception. In the end, the Broncos suffered a brutal 19-8 loss against the Chiefs and fell to 1-5 in the ongoing season. The Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson threw 2 interceptions in the loss.

Steve Smith’s harsh remarks about Jerry Jeudy

Ahead of the Chiefs-Broncos TNF game, NFL Network analyst Steve Smith went off on Jerry Jeudy after the Broncos wide receiver allegedly disrespected the Panthers greatly by saying, “I don’t mess with you” but with an expletive word.

“he’s mentally unable to handle constructive criticism from people who watch specifically, can he be a wide receiver? He can be a wide receiver. He’s a tier three,” said Smith on the pregame show after referring to Jeudy as an average wide receiver.

As Smith mentioned, Jerry Jeudy hasn’t shown up for the Broncos yet after being selected in the first round back in 2020. Jeudy has 0 Pro Bowl seasons and is yet to be named to an All-Pro squad. In fact, the Broncos are trying to move on from Jeudy and are currently shopping him to different teams according to multiple reports.
