While Jerry Jones feasted inside the AT&T VIP Suit, the Dallas Cowboys crushed the Washington Commanders 45-10 on the ground. The win has rekindled talk of the ‘America’s Team’ as one of the Super Bowl contenders.

Why wouldn’t they be? It was their 13th straight win at Arlington and their fifth this season. The Cowboys have scored 205 points in that time at home while conceding just 60. Undeniably, those are elite numbers, which certainly puts them in the mix for football’s biggest prize.

No wonder Jones feels very confident about their chances—the Jimmy Johnson effect?

However, he also highlighted that they are not the only ones who are in the running.

There’s four or five others, at least, that can win it, too. We’ve got to play, and some of them we’ll go by to get one. But this team is certainly capable of winning the whole thing.

Jerry Jones said that the Dallas Cowboys are prepared for any team

With the win over the Washington Commanders, the Cowboys are now 8-3 in the NFC, only behind the Philadelphia Eagles (9-1). However, it’s important to point out that most of their wins have come against teams that are below .500.

The New York Jets (with Zach Wilson), the New England Patriots (with Mac Jones), the Los Angeles Rams (with Matthew Stafford), the New York Giants (with 3rd-string QB Tommy DeVito), and the Commanders (with Sam Howell)—combined, these teams are 25-59 in 2023.

Unless a fan is someone like Skip Bayless, they still need to be wary of the teams the Cowboys are yet to face before the regular season ends. Dallas still has to play against the Seattle Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles (lost to them 23-28 earlier this season), the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins, and the Detroit Lions. They will have a replay against Washington in the final week.

However, Jerry Jones is not an individual who would throw in the towel, especially when his team is performing well.

I think we have prepared to play the toughest part of the year--We’re preparing and have prepared to go into the playoffs.

Jones also mentioned that this was one of the greatest days of his life as a Cowboys owner.

I don't know that I've had a day like this. And I'll include them all—the Super Bowls—in there; I don't know if I've ever had a better day with the Cowboys than today.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, their next two games are at Arlington. Even though they will face their divisional rivals, the Eagles, home-field advantage will come in handy.
