Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has spoken about his team’s playoff game against Tom Brady’s Bucs. In the last wildcard round game on Monday night, the Dallas Cowboys, who finished with a 12-5 record in the regular season, will face the NFC South champs, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Over the last few years, the Cowboys have an abysmal playoff record and with a good team this year, they will desperately try to make it count.

Brady has an undefeated record against the Cowboys. He is 7-0 against the Cowboys and in his elite career, hasn’t lost a game to Dallas. Dak Prescott, Cowboys’ QB isn’t in great form and is known to succumb under pressure. He has just one playoff win to his name and he will be up against the might Brady- who has a record 35 postseason wins. So naturally, things won’t be ideal for the Cowboys going up against Brady in the playoffs.

Speaking on Dallas radio station 105.3 The Fan, Jerry Jones, spoke about the upcoming playoff game and dismissed that Brady threat. He admitted that Brady is a factor when the Cowboys go up against him and said that they are playing Buccaneers, the team and not Brady alone. He further explained his logic in support of his argument.

“Well, we’re at their home. Brady is a factor, but you know when you really think about it, we’re not playing Brady. We’re playing Tampa Bay, the team. And it’s conceivable that we could make Brady not play well and get their tails beat by the rest of the team,” Jones said.

Jones also said that while he knows that the Brady factor with the Cowboys is sensitive and he respects that, he wants the team to take this as a challenge going into the game and think about beating Tom Brady for the first time.

“This Brady thing has got to be sensitive. I know it’s there, and I respect that. Gives us the challenge to do something we haven’t done before and that’s beat Tom Brady,” Jones added.

A total of 28 teams have beaten Brady and only two teams- the Cowboys (0-7) and the Vikings (0-6) have never beaten him. The Cowboys will have a chance to improve this record and could also possibly end his career as the 45-year-old hasn’t announced anything about next season. The winner of the Cowboys vs Buccaneers game will then face either the Seahawks or the 49ers in the divisional round.
