Stephen A. Smith, who is known to be the biggest hater of the Dallas Cowboys, seems to have quite a good relationship with the owner of the franchise, Jerry Jones. Whenever there’s something that Smith doesn’t like from Cowboys plays, he doesn’t wait a second to express his strong opinions and criticize the team. But that seems like a part of his job description as a sports analyst. And Jones understands that very well.

Ahead of the Cowboys’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, last weekend on Sunday, these two, Smith and Jones, had quite a funny interaction when they met. With a warm smile, the Dallas owner asked the host of First Take to teach him a famous move from his walk.

As Jones showed him what he was talking about by imitating his walk. Smith gave the best reaction by bursting into laughter and then named that move “The Jerry Jones,” and they both ended up laughing.

The ESPN reporter never misses a chance to downplay the Cowboys and is usually the happiest person on television on their loss. But even he appreciated the Cowboys and especially quarterback Dak Prescott for playing well enough to win against the Eagles on Monday’s ‘First Take‘ episode.

In the game against the Eagles, the Cowboys played very well, with quarterback Prescott in the lead. However, they couldn’t reach their victory and accepted defeat at 23-28.

Why was Stephen A. Smith not satisfied by the Cowboys’ start this season?

After losing to the Eagles at 23-28, the Cowboys now stand at 5-3 this season. Despite that, they still are Super Bowl contenders and are ranked second in the NFC East.

However, analyst Smith isn’t quite impressed with Dallas’ start this season. While talking on the matter, he highlighted how the Cowboys haven’t won a single game against a team with a winning record. They lost all their games against strong contenders like the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers.

I do understand that the Dallas Cowboys have five wins this year, I do understand that not a single victory has come against a team playing above .500 football. I do believe if I remember correctly the combined record of the opponents they've beaten this year is 15 and 28 and four of those five wins have come by 20 or more points.

And when the Cowboys had the opportunity to prove Smith wrong, last week, they fell short by a few points. Though quarterback Prescott pulled off a remarkable performance, the Eagles defeated them by 5 points. The next they will face the Eagles will be in December. Until then the team may need to work on the points analyst Smith put forward.
