“We’ll have to see,” Jerry Jones makes cryptic comment on Odell Beckham Jr’s dream future with the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys continued on their merry run in the regular season with yet another victory. They triumphed over the New York Giants in the Thanksgiving fixture by a 28-20 scoreline to move up to an 8-3 season record.

Despite the win, the biggest talking point after the game was when the franchise would finalize the signing of free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. The franchise has now courted the veteran WR for quite some time now, and many feel they should take their relationship to another level.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has heaped praises on the 30-year-old previously, indicating to the fullest that the franchise was indeed interested in signing him. However, after the latest victory, Jerry Jones tried to tone down the talk by making suggestions of OBJ not returning to full fitness yet.

Odell Beckham Jr won the Super Bowl last year with Los Angeles Rams, emerging as one of the best wide receivers in the league. He was on course to win a Super Bowl MVP award but unfortunately suffered a knee injury in the first quarter.

Odell Beckham Jr’s dreamy run was hence cut short, and he has not taken the field ever since. He is slated to return to the circuit in December after having gone through an intense rehabilitation program over the past couple of months.

“We’ll see. We’ll have to see,” Jones said about Beckham’s knee. “I haven’t gotten the benefit of his rehab work and where he is.”

While this concern might not exactly be what the fans want to hear, the veteran owner also said that he has had a chat with OBJ over the phone, but wants to know more details about his injury before the Cowboys make the final plunge for him.

Over the past few weeks, numerous Cowboys players, including the likes of Dak Prescott, and Ezekiel Elliott, have openly shown their liking for Odell. Even the head coach Mike McCarthy did not hide his feelings while talking about the wide receiver.
