Jerry Jones is delighted now as the Cowboys are 6-2 in the NFL with the team playing spectacularly well this season. And maybe enchanted by his team’s performance, Jones decided to do something unusual when he dressed up as a blind referee for Halloween.

Many people were confused with Jones’ outfit choice and tried to find out the reason behind it. The Cowboys owner had an interesting reaction to it.

“I had a lot of fun,” Jerry Jones said on Yahoo Sports. “I’m being very careful here because I’m getting real close to a fine. It shows how much I love them to dress up as them…how much I respect their decision-making.”

Jerry Jones is known to get into controversies from time to time, so this was no different for him. Jones’ reactions also seemed like he was taking a shot at the officiating this season in the NFL with his outfit choice.

“Oh yeah, I had the cane and everything,” Jones told Sports Illustrated on Sunday in reference to the outfit. “And I used it on some people, too.”

And now Jones is on the NFL’s radar and may be looking at a possible fine. Although his son, CEO of the Cowboys thinks that the league should have a bit of a sense of humor and let it slide.

Jerry Jones is speculated to be fined for his Halloween outfit choice

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones could be in trouble as there is a serious policy by the league that prohibits the owners and players to ridicule or mock them in any way.

There was a memo released by the NFL in 2019 for the violation of the same rules.

“Comments regarding the quality of officiating, individual calls or missed calls, the League’s officiating department, an officiating crew, or an individual game official; [a]ccusing game officials of acting with bias or in any way questioning the integrity of NFL game officials; or [p]osting negative or derogatory/demeaning content pertaining to officiating on social media.”

Jones did not take it too seriously and was casual about the whole incident. NFL still has to decide on this incident and will be out with a decision (whether he will be fined or not) in a few days.

On the other hand, the Cowboys are currently flying now as they sit 2nd in their division behind the undefeated Eagles who are off to their best start ever.
