The New York Jets have started training camp for the upcoming NFL season. On Saturday morning, the Jets’ open training camp was buzzing. The team of the Jets’ new quarterback Aaron Rodgers and WR Garrett Wilson took on the 2022 DROY Sauce Gardner in an exciting battle. But the talk of the training camp was the multiple fights Jets players engaged in on a hot day in front of Hard Knocks cameras.

“Yeah, it’s hot,” head coach Robert Saleh told reporters with a smile on his face when asked about things getting testy during practice. “It was a good competitive practice. It was good to see the offense fight back a little bit, but we’ve got another day tomorrow.”

In front of a sold-out crowd in Florham Park, New Jersey, the Jets players engaged in physical altercation three different times. The first of three fights came at around 11:15 a.m. on the right side of the offensive line but ended swiftly. The second fight started just a few minutes after the first scuffle on the left side of the trenches.

Defensive linemen Jermaine Johnson and Michael Clemons beefed with the tight ends Kenny Yeboah and Jeremy Ruckert. The defensive line duo Johnson and Clemons were involved in a third fight again with the offensive line which ended after a few minutes.

The Jets were selected to be on the Hard Knocks this season and they already have produced some quality content on their first open training camp itself. Hard Knocks, featuring the Jets will be premiered on HBO Max on August 8.

The NY Jets acquired the star QB Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers in the 2023 off-season. Rodgers, a 10-time Pro Bowl is entering the 2023 season with the enormous pressure of winning the Super Bowl.

The Jets have one of the best rosters in the league. They barely missed the playoffs last season despite the inconsistency at the quarterback position. This year, they addressed the QB position by adding Rodgers.

Now, the veteran QB is looking to lead the Jets to their first playoff appearance in more than a decade. He has all the right tools around him to achieve success in the upcoming season.

If he can’t lead the Jets to the playoffs, it would be considered a massive disaster for the New York-based football team considering what they gave up for the 4-time league MVP.
