Aaron Rodgers’ highly speculated trade set to cost the Jets MASSIVE multiple second round draft picks while asking for added protection from the Packers

Aaron Rodgers has been rumored to get trade to the New York Jets for quite some time now. The legendary QB was expected to move to New York at the start of the offseason. However, the move has still not been completed yet as both the teams couldn’t come to an agreement.
Nonetheless, now it feels like there’s an agreement in place as the Jets have decided to part ways with two high draft picks for the signature of Rodgers.
Recent reports suggest that, the Jets have decided to part ways with 2023 second rounder draft pick and 2024 2nd rounder draft pick for the 40-year old QB. However, there’s also an added clause where the 2024 second round draft pick could turn into a first round draft pick if Rodgers performs exceptionally well in his first season.
The deal is highly ambitious and extravagant for a QB who’s at a latter end of his career. Many even thing that Rodgers isn’t worth a first round draft pick. However, his stats and legacy speak for himself and surely the Packers QB will be a great addition to the squad.

The Jets require protection if Aaron Rodgers fails to perform with them

Aaron Rodgers has created an immeasurable legacy in the NFL and will surely go down as one of the greatest QB of all time. The Super Bowl winner has impresses people with his flair and magic that he produces on the field.
Although, his form has flattered since the last season, Rodgers should never be counted out. The Jets have showed faith in his abilities and have decided to sign him. However, they also need some protection if things doesn’t work out for them.
The New York based team believes that Rodgers will retire by 2024. To squander this possibility, the Jets have asked for some protection from the Packers. The deal is currently at a standstill due to this demand from the New Yorkers.
It is expected that Aaron Rodgers deal will be completed by the month of April and the people will finally see him in New York’s colours. However, it’s still not confirmed if the Packers are willing to provide any compensation at the chance of the legendary QB retiring at the end of the next season.
