Jets’ Sauce Gardner expresses high confidence while declaring he’s ‘most definitely’ ready for Raiders’ Davante Adams challenge
Adams is a six-time Pro Bowler with an average of 1,365 yards, 106 receptions, and 13 touchdowns logged in the past five seasons with the Jets.

As the New York Jets prepare to face the Las Vegas Raiders on the coming Monday, cornerback Sauce Gardner is quite excited to gain feat over the opponents’ star wide receiver. As he said, Gardner is “most definitely” ready to come face-to-face with Davante Adams.
After the practice session last Friday, the All-Pro cornerback was asked about their coming game on Monday, he said:
It’s pretty self-explanatory. He’s got great hands, there’s a lot of great things he does.
He mentioned that there is a list of such things, but he can’t write them all down at once, he called Adams “one of the best receivers in the league, so he presents a huge challenge.“

Sauce Gardner’s praise for the wide receiver isn’t wrong as well, as Adams is a six-time Pro Bowler with an average of 1,365 yards, 106 receptions, and 13 touchdowns logged in the past five seasons with the Jets. Interestingly, the Jets even tried to acquire the star wide receiver before the October 31st trade deadline, and they ought to repeat in the offseason.
While talking about the matter, Jets coach Robert Saleh also appreciated Adams and believes he would be in the Hall of Fame someday. Saleh said:
He’s an elite talent, obviously. Probably going to be in the Hall of Fame one day and he’s got a tremendous mindset. Everything I’ve heard about him, just obviously being connected to all those guys in Green Bay and with Coach LaFleur and all that.
The Raiders claimed victory over the Giants last week, where Aidan O’Connell completed 16 out of 25 passes for 206 yards and no interceptions. In the coming game, Gardner and the bookend cornerback D.J. Reed would attempt to lock down the star wide receiver of the Raiders, along with veterans Jakobi Meyers and Hunter Renfrow — the whole receiving corps.
What do the Week 10 game mean for the Jets and Raiders?
As the Jets enter Week 10 at 4-4, the Monday game against the Raiders comes with great hope for them. If they succeed with a win, their hopes for postseason appearances increase. However, if they lose, their chances in the playoffs will become blurred.

While the Raiders standing at 4-5, also aim for a second consecutive victory under interim head coach Antonio Pierce, after their last triumph against the Giants at 30-6, which was also the debut game of Pierce as coach. And this game in Week 10 would decide whether the change in management of the Raiders is actually working or not.
Raiders’ offense has crumbled a lot this season under former head coach Josh McDaniels as they managed to make eight touchdowns in the eight games this season. On the other hand, the Jets’ defense has been pretty solid throughout. Though they ranked last in the NFL in third percentage and the red zone conversion percentage.
