Antonio Brown has been out of NFL action for quite some time now. The eccentric WR was ousted by the league a couple of seasons ago over disciplinary actions. During his tenure, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB was one of the best in the league. He was also good friends with NBA player Jimmy Butler. Butler once featured on the ‘Hot Ones’ show in 2019 and shared an interesting story involving him and Brown.
The Miami Heat player lost around $30,000 to Brown in a betting incident. The duo were practicing together along with Denver Broncos QB Russell Wilson. Butler revealed the complete incident to host Sean Evans and stated that he lost the money while making an illogical bet.
“I still think I owe (Antonio Brown) like $30,000 because I made a bet that I could stop him from catching the ball in the red zone. You’re talking about the best receiver in the league and then Russ at quarterback. I’m just saying,” Jimmy Butler stated on The Hot Ones.
Although, Butler is a great NBA player, marking a talented WR like Antonio Brown takes exceptional skills. On the other hand, the QB was Wilson who was one of the best during his time with the Seattle Seahawks.

Jimmy Butler called Antonio Brown ‘the best receiver in the league’
Antonio Brown’s off-the-field theatrics always overshadowed his on-the-field actions. The former NFL WR was highly competent and was one of the best during his time.
However, Jimmy Butler confessed that Brown was the best receiver in the league during his prime. Interestingly, Butler isn’t too far away with his assessment as Brown’s stats technically speak for himself.
Brown was selected for 6 consecutive Pro Bowls and 5 consecutive All-Pro teams during his tenure in the NFL. The former WR also exceeded the 1,250 receiving yards mark in all six seasons.
Additionally, he also led the NFL in receiving and receptions 2 times in his career while also having the most touchdowns in one of them. Antonio Brown was a true force to be reckoned with during his time. Sadly, the WR had to be ousted by the league due to his controversial actions.
