If there’s anyone from Las Vegas who enjoyed the Kansas City Chiefs outperforming the San Francisco 49ers, it’s Jimmy Garoppolo’s younger brother, Billy. The 26-year-old shared a loud Instagram story carrying a message for the Niners for how they treated his brother, the Las Vegas Raiders backup quarterback.
After many years, the 49ers appeared to be destined to win the Super Bowl this year with starting quarterback Brock Purdy, who took over Jimmy. However, the deafening Super Bowl champions overpowered them and shielded their crown by a 25-22 victory.
Enjoying the downfall of the Niners, Billy Garoppolo went to his Instagram and shared Taylor Swift’s (who apparently dating the Chiefs tight end) song titled “Karma” on his Instagram story, Sunday Night. From the post, it’s for sure the youngest of the Garoppolo brothers didn’t appreciate how the franchise treated his brother, which eventually landed him with the Raiders.
Interestingly, the last Super Bowl that the 49ers appeared in was 2020, led by Jimmy against the Chiefs. But as they couldn’t succeed, the franchise drafted Trey Lance and Purdy. The franchise even openly declared that Jimmy G. wouldn’t play for them anymore but when Lance suffered a season-ending injury, head coach Kyle Shanahan was left with no choice but to bring back Jimmy.
Jimmy Garoppolo’s prediction for the Super Bowl LVIII came true
Just a couple of days prior to the big game in Las Vegas, the managing editor of fan website Niners Nation, Kyle Posey reported that quarterback Jimmy G. gave his prediction for the Super Bowl LVIII, in which he claimed the Chiefs would beat the 49ers and it literally came true.
The Raiders’ backup quarterback’s production didn’t come from any atrocious intentions as he had previously cleared to CBS News that he has no beef against the 49ers and shares friendly with them.
Although the 32-year-old hasn’t made any public statement relating to his former team’s Super Bowl loss, it can be speculated that the 49ers losing would probably have made him happy. How he actually feels remains a mystery for the fans, especially when he made a public appearance on behalf of USAA in Las Vegas.
