Super Bowl LVIII will be a hard game for Jimmy Garoppolo to watch. The last time the San Francisco 49ers were in the big game, he was the starting quarterback of the team. However, this time, he will be at home, sitting on the couch.
Ahead of the matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, Jimmy G made his predictions on the outcome of the game. Spoiler alert, he is rooting against his former team.

Jimmy Garoppolo predicted the final score of the game to be 35-31 in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs yet again. He sees this game as being a closely fought one but ultimately, the Chiefs will steal the victory yet again rendering them 2-0 against the 49ers in the Super Bowl in recent history. The last time these two teams faced off, KC beat the 49ers 31-20, a margin of 11 points. This season, both the teams have played well but have shown vulnerabilities on many opportunities.
The Kansas City Chiefs will rely on Patrick Mahomes to show up and lead the offense. It will be imperative for him to remain consistent and execute from the first snap onwards. For the 49ers, the defense will need to find an answer early on to ensure Mahomes and Kelce do not connect and get into their zone.
49ers fans unhappy with Jimmy Garoppolo’s Super Bowl prediction
The 49ers will rely on Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and Deebo Samuel to come up with big plays in order to win the Super Bowl. Watching this ought to be hard for Jimmy Garoppolo as the quarterback who was meant to substitute for him while he was recovering from his shoulder injury ended up replacing him and taking his job away from him. Now, the same QB almost won the MVP award and took the team to the Super Bowl.

Fans online were critical of Jimmy G’s take on the outcome of the Super Bowl. Check out how they reacted:

This is the guy btw 49ers fans and players were happy that he was the starter again in 2022 and didn’t care for/hated Trey Lance.

We’re taking predictions from benched QB’s now? ? This is not low hanging fruit. This is fruit that fell to the ground and has been run over by a tractor.

“Listen, all I am saying is, other than this year, the last few years when the 49ers got to big games their QB choked, I mean just did ridiculous awful shit.”

Will Jimmy Garoppolo’s predictions be true? The quarterback appears to be salty about being let go by the franchise. He has had a rough year, after playing for the Las Vegas Raiders and being benched for a rookie QB who is at best average. Jimmy G is no longer a starting QB in the NFL and that must be a rough pill for him to swallow.
