It was a terrible day for the Dallas Cowboys and fans of the organization. The team had never this good in nearly three decades and it genuinely appeared like they had a shot at making it to the Super Bowl. However, history repeated itself as they ended up losing in the Wildcard round of the playoffs to the Green Bay Packers.
Heading into halftime, the Cowboys were down 27-7. During halftime, Jimmy Johnson delivered one of the most inspiring speeches in recent history to motivate the team. Jimmy Johnson bleeds blue and white, his love and passion for the team is unmatched.
Despite the team being down by such a big margin, he had this to say:
I'll just say this, every single one of you, know how hard we have worked. I don't need to have people pointing the finger at one thing or another. You get your rear end in there and play the way you know how to play.
Johnson said the same with so much passion that it was hard not to be motivated by this speech, rather than pointing fingers, he urged the team to get back out there and play the best football of their lives because he knew that this team had all the potential to do so. He was not done there.

Johnson further stated,
We can win the game. We're going to open it up, we're going to go fast tempo. Defense get after Jordan Love, you can't give him that much time. You do what you're supposed to do and we'll win this thing.
He urged the Cowboys to get back on track defensively, if they were able to stop the Packers from scoring, it would help them close in on the deficit much more easily.
The Cowboy’s defense did not look invincible tonight. Jordan Love managed to get enough time to complete his passes and as a result, the Packers offense was rolling.
Despite Johnson’s amazing speech, the Dallas Cowboys fell to the Packers. Dak Prescott came alive in the second half of the game as he began to put up points on the board. However, it was too late. The defense could not stop the Packers offense and though the deficit grew short by the end of the game, it was still too large for the Cowboys to make a comeback.
