“He wasn’t smoking good quality cigars”: Anthony Munoz spoiled Joe Burrow with premium cigars before the Super Bowl to give the QB a taste of the good stuff

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals surprised a lot of people last year as the team that nobody expected to even make it to the postseason ended up reaching the Super Bowl. They may not have won it, however, the team came close and did their best. What is scary is the fact that the Bengals’ roster had a lot of loopholes and positions that could have used better players, but the team overcame all of that and made the Super Bowl. In this offseason, the team has done everything possible to make sure these loopholes are all addressed and the team is perfectly balanced.
The offensive line is now better and stronger, the defensive end has been reinforced as well by trading and drafting role players. So does this mean that the Bengals are guaranteed a trip to the Super Bowl? Anthony Munoz thinks so. The Pro Football Hall of Famer thinks that Joe Burrow is an elite quarterback who now has the perfect squad with which he can win a championship. “Joe Burrow against the Ravens, he was their daddy last year,” Rich Eisen joked before asking the HOFer about the young QBs potential.
“I’m excited to see him, I believe he’s got a lot of help”: Anthony Munoz on his expectations from Joe Burrow and the Bengals

Munoz believes that Burrow has already let a lot of teams know that he is no regular quarterback, he has put the league on notice. “He’s already let them know, if that’s what it takes, I would love to see him do that (trash talk his opponents) 6 times in the AFC North.” The team has no visible flaws on paper, they are pretty much set and they covered their bases this offseason by signing solid players for positions in which they were lacking earlier.
Joe Burrow was hit a lot last season, and despite taking all those hits, he played well, so we cannot wait to see how he fares with a reinvigorated offensive line, we expect a lot of things from him and the Bengals this season.
Anthony Munoz is also a Burrow fan like all of us now, we all know that the quarterback loves to smoke cigars after a win, that is his most iconic celebration that is legendary at this point. Especially after LSU won the national championship, Burrow smoking a cigar was in news more than the team’s victory. The HOFer heard from one of his close friends that Joey B does not smoke the best cigars, so he thought he should do something about it.
Munoz did this. “I surprised him with a very very very nice box of cigars before the Super Bowl, I had a buddy who saw him light up and said, ‘I don’t know if he is smoking very good cigars, he had that one for quite a while,’.” In addition to this Munoz added that he drove nearly 20 miles to the Bengals stadium in order to deliver these cigars to Burrow. “I don’t usually do this but you have to understand, it’s gotta be a quarterback,” Munoz concluded by stating that he only does this for special players and Burrow is nothing less than special.
