Joe Burrow is currently one of the best quarterbacks in the league. The Cincinnati Bengals QB is entering his 4th year in NFL and is due for a massive contract extension. The recent deals for Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson have increased the value for quarterbacks in the market. Burrow and Justin Herbert are next in line for massive deals.

However, it seems like the Pro Bowl QB Joe Burrow is looking to sign a team-friendly contract that will help the Bengals to keep their other star players including receivers Tee Higgins and Ja’Mar Chase tied to their franchise. Tee Higgins is also due for a contract extension and will certainly receive a lot of attention if he enters free agency next off-season.

Amidst this situation, the Bengals QB Burrow has claimed that no matter how good a quarterback is, a team can’t win anything without a good supporting cast around the signal-caller.

“You’ve gotta have good players,” said Burrow in a recent press conference. “I mean, it doesn’t matter how good your quarterback is. If you don’t have good players around him, you’re not going to be a good team.”

Joe Burrow and the Bengals are currently working on getting a deal done, and the Cincinnati-based football team would like to extend Burrow before the QB market changes once again. The Los Angeles Chargers QB Justin Herbert and the Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa will end up increasing the value for the quarterbacks in the future.

The Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s contract is the most anticipated deal in the league currently. Fans are speculating whether he will end up becoming the highest-paid NFL player or will he take Tom Brady‘s approach of taking a team-friendly deal.

Amidst the speculations, the 2021 Comeback Player of the Year award winner Burrow has broken his silence and has given an update on the contract extension situation.

“I’m involved. That’s in the works,” Burrow said in a press conference on Tuesday. “That’s not really something that I like to play out in the media. Just the way I think they want to do business, I want to do business, we prefer to keep that between us.”

Burrow also said that he is pretty clear on what kind of deal he wants and will work to get that done soon. In the meantime, Joe Burrow and the Bengals will look to defend their AFC North division champions in 2023 and make a deep postseason run once again.
